I want to give you some information about this pattern;
Abreviasion;
ch: chain
inc: Increase, 2sc in the same st
st: stitch
sc: single crochet
Rnd/rnd: round
FO: Fasten Off
dec: Decrease. If you want your dec to be a bit more invisible, then you can replace the dec with an invdec
(invisible decrease)
FL: Front Loop
BLO: Back Loop Only
YO: Yarn Over
Sk: Skip
mr: Magic Ring (If you don’t know how to do a magic ring, you can replace it with ch2 and sc in 2nd ch from
hook)
Feet-Legs
The feet-legsare worked in both rndsand rows. Cuta16in tail of wire for the 1st leg buta 28in tail for the
2nd. (NOTE: you may have to use more or less wire depending on your gauge)
Rnd 1: sc 6 in mr ~6
Rnd 2: sc, ch 5 starting in the 2nd ch from hook slst 4 AROUND wire, sc, ch 6 starting in the 2nd ch from
hook slst 5 around wire, sc, ch 5 starting in the 2nd ch from hook slst 4 around wire, sc 2, ch 5 starting in the
2nd ch from hook slst 4 around wire, sc~6 scsand 4 toes
Sc 2 around the wire towards the center of magic ring
Rnd 3: Row 1: ch 7, starting in the 2nd ch from hook sc 6, turn~6
Row 2: ch 1, sc 6, turn~6
Row 3: ch 1, sc 6, turn~6
Row 4: ch 1, sc 6 through both the last row worked and the original 7 ch~6
Rnd 4: In dark brown yarn ch 1, inc in each of the sts around the top of the previous 4 rows~8
FO on the tan yarn and use it to sew the lower leg onto the foot. Place ast marker in the
last st.

Body
The body is worked in rounds, place astitch markerafter the end of Rnd 1,and move it up after every Rnd.

Using atapestry needle sew up the hole between the legs
Stuff the legs firmly.

Rnd 13: sc 7, dec, sc 2, dec, sc 3, dec, sc 10 (this rnd goes 4 sts in into the next rnd) turn ch 1, sc 6, turn ch 1, sc

FO, leaving atail long enough to sew up the hole in the top of the head.
NOTE: Your falcon’s face may look a bit strange before it gets its beak, but keep going; it
will get better . . .
Sew the head onto the body using atapestry needle and the yarn tail from this piece.
Beak
Use the same yarn that you used on the claws
Rnd 1: Ch 10, sl st into 1st ch~10
Row 2: ch 1, sc 6, turn~6

Row 5: ch 1, dec~1
Sl st down the side of the triangle that you just created
Row 6: sc 4, turn ~4
Row 7: Ch 1, dec 2, turn~2
Row 8: Ch 1, dec~1
FO leaving a12 in tail for sewing onto the head. Your falcon’s beak should have 2
triangles, sew the smaller one onto the larger one
NOTE: If you want your falcon to have an open
mouth, then do not sew the two triangles to each
other.
Wings, Make 2
If you want your wings to be more textured, then you can do FLO one row and then BLO the next row,and so
on, but switch which rows you do the BLO and the FLO on for the leftand right wings.
