Tips:
The toy must be crocheted with tight stitches. Use a smaller size than the recommended hook
size for the yarn you’re using to avoid visible gaps between stitches.
Stuff as you go. Put stuffing as much as you can but make sure you don’t stretch the stitches.
If the toy is going to be made for a toddler under the age of three, use safety eyes and don’t use
buttons.
IMPORTANT!
All parts begin with a magic circle and made using spiral technique unless other techniques are
mentioned.
The body is crocheted from bottom to top. You start with the legs and work upwards to the
head.
If you don’t want to embroider the eyes you can use safety eyes too.
“Igrid the fox girl” has a height of about 20 cm.

Now fold the hood in the middle (image 2) and connect the two edges (or the last round) by
crocheting them together with a series of sc. Cut the yarn and weave in ends. Turn the hood inside
out, so that the seam is hidden inside the hood (image 4). The bottom edge will be sewn around the
neck, you may want to use pins to secure it in place before sewing. You may also notice that the
hood is a bit larger than the neck, so you must adjust some of your stitches to make it fit. (image 5)

Details (you are nearly done!)
There are still a few lovely details missing. Use a black moulin for embroidering the eyes. Begin by
marking the position of the eyes in rd. 37 using pins with 5 stitches in between. Embroider the nose
in the middle of the eyes using ecru coloured yarn. You can also add some embroidered cheeks.
Congratulations! Your fox girl is ready!
