Row 1) Create a slip knot with a new length of white yarn and Ch1. Fold one 18” length of the
pieces you cut earlier. Slide over the crochet hook and place it right next to the stitch left on the
crochet hook and sc around it. Continue this process until you have added a total of 28 lengths of yarn. Ch1 and turn.
Row 2) Sc in each st across adding an 18” length of yarn in each st. Insert hook into stitch, yarn
over, loop the 18” length of yarn over the hook, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook, yarn over and pull through the remaining loops on the hook.

* Separate the plys and holding the top of the beard firmly (where your sc stitches are) brush

Assembly:
Place the panels on top of each other with the wrong sides facing the inside. You will be joining
the 2 pieces together. You will go through both pieces to join the front and back panels together
using the corresponding colours. Just a little tip, use white as the corresponding colour for the
face just in case your beard sections don’t quite reach the hat brim, it will make it less
noticeable. Sc in each st around (put 3 sc in the corners). Don’t forget to stuff firmly before
closing. Fasten off and weave in your ends.
Use some blush to highlight the nose and cheeks.
